PHOENIX, Nov. 17 (UPI) -- Honeywell's 36-150 APU increased electrical power units will be used by Boeing for CH-147 helicopters being delivered to Canada.
"Honeywell engines and auxiliary power units are powering helicopters around the world but the Canadian forces program marks the first selection of Honeywell's APU for a Chinook helicopter," said Vicki Panhuise, vice president, U.S. Defense Customers, Honeywell Aerospace. "The Honeywell 36-150 provides 75 percent more electrical power, allowing the Canadian forces an expanded mission envelope.
