CACI enhances geo-spatial capabilities

ARLINGTON, Va., Nov. 2 (UPI) -- CACI International Inc. of Virginia has completed its acquisition of two companies specializing in geospatial and technical systems.

Acquisition of TechniGraphics Inc. of Ohio and Virginia's Applied Systems Research Inc. -- in separate transactions -- further CACI's growth in the two areas and "reinforce its commitment to providing end-to-end intelligence solutions," the company said.

"These acquisitions are particularly important to CACI's concentrated focus on building our intelligence business," said Paul Cofoni, CACI president and chief executive officer. "They reinforce our commitment to intelligence as one of CACI's core competencies and provide solutions that cross multiple mission areas and market sectors.

"We welcome these new employees to CACI and look forward to their contributions in growing our intelligence business."

TechniGraphics, formed in 1982, is a 450-person company with headquarters in Wooster, Ohio, and additional locations in Colorado and Spain. Its products form the basis for intelligence analysis, military operational planning and disaster relief planning.

ASR is a 50-person company with headquarters in Fairfax, Va. The company's Measurements and Signatures Intelligence discipline provides solutions to difficult spatial, spectral and technical intelligence tasks. ASR is also a leading provider of professional services at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.

Transaction details weren't immediately available.
