Goodrich gets follow-on British contract

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Oct. 25 (UPI) -- Britain's Ministry of Defense has given Goodrich Corp. a $10 million follow-on contract for continued logistics support.

The contract, to the United Kingdom's Atlantic Inertial Systems, continues a decade of support for a number of legacy instruments used on a range of British jets and helicopters in operational service.

Atlantic Inertial Systems became part of Goodrich's Sensors and Integrated Systems in last December.

"A decade ago our Plymouth business was one of the first recipients of a PBL contract in the U.K.," said Jim Chapman, vice president of Operations, Atlantic Inertial Systems. "We believe this follow-on contract is a testimony to the quality and efficiency of the support we have provided to the (British air force) since that time."

Goodrich's AIS team is a leading provider of mission-critical guidance, navigation and stabilization products and systems for military and commercial markets.
