FGM receives DoD contract

RESTON, Va., Sept. 30 (UPI) -- FGM, Inc. has received U.S. Department of Defense contracts regarding its 'Net-centric service and management capabilities.

The contracts to work with the Defense Information Systems Agency run until 2014, the company announced Thursday.

FGM President and Chief Executive Officer Scott Gessay said: "FGM is very excited to have been a part of the NCES program's achievement of the full fielding decisions for the Enterprise Services. We look forward to continuing our support of the Enterprise Services in pursuit of the (Defense Department's) Net-Centric objectives.

"We look forward to leveraging our expertise in providing services and foundational capabilities enabling 'Net-centric operations in pursuit of successfully realizing DISA's missions supporting decision superiority."

The Pentagon's NCES is designed to provide a secure and interoperable data-sharing environment for the department allowing its members to share knowledge worldwide using a global network, with its upgrades designed to enhance information superiority while improving decision-making and operational effectiveness.
