BAE selected DEW to join its Combat Vehicle 90 proposal team for the company's engineering experience with combat technologies. Under the contract proposal, DEW will provide final assembly for the CV90's turret.

"BAE Systems' proven CV90 is an impressive vehicle that will outshine the competition," DEW President Tim Dear said in a statement.

"With DEW's Canadian workforce, the Canadian army will have a high-performing vehicle made with the same dedication and passion as those who serve their country."

DEW is also expected to provide the CV90 proposal with integration and testing support services.

BAE's CV90 has been deployed with armed forces in Norway, Finland and Switzerland among other countries.
