The approximately $28 million award also includes the construction of hazardous material management, firefighting services and airfield operations facilities along with a life support area.

The new facilities will used by Army and U.S. Navy units deployed at the Defense Department's sites in Bahrain.

"KBR is fully prepared to meet the demands under this task order and will continue to build upon our long-term experience providing quality support services to the U.S. military," Mark Williams, KBR Infrastructure, Government and Power president.
