Defense Ministry spokesman Huang Xueping told China Daily that there are plans to "organize more activities by the air force, navy and army."

The Chinese Ministry of Defense invited military officials from 47 countries to observe a demonstration of the J-10 fighter Tuesday. Four of the domestically built fighter jets took part in the exercise. China aims to rival U.S. counterparts in military sales with the J-10.

Yan Feng, a commander of the air force division involved in the J-10, said taking the air defense team on the road was good diplomacy.

"It'll be a good platform to make known China's air force to other countries and exchange techniques with foreign colleagues," he said.
