Raytheon says its TSCE release six software provides the Zumwalt-class destroyers with a next-generation Mission Systems Integration and automation.

"The success of our spiral development methodology for this program continues, ensuring that systems are validated as mature before progressing to full development," Bill Marcley, Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems Total Ship Mission Systems vice president, said in a statement.

"With this review, all of the Zumwalt software requirements are complete, more than 80 percent of software coding is complete and the program remains within budget and on schedule."
