SAIC selected by Navy for analysis support

MCLEAN, Va., Jan. 13 (UPI) -- The U.S. Navy has awarded Science Applications International Corp. a follow-on contract to provide warfare analysis with simulation and modeling services.

U.S. company SAIC was awarded the task order to support the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations Assessment Division as part of the SeaPort-enhanced contract vehicle.

Under the more than $249 million deal awarded by the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, SAIC will provide warfare campaign and mission-level analyses among other requirements for the companies modeling and simulation services.

"SAIC and its teammates look forward to continuing our support of Office of the Chief of Naval Operations Assessment Division as they help enhance the Navy's understanding of resource and warfighting decision alternatives," Tom Baybrook, SAIC senior vice president and business unit manager, said in a statement.
