IceWEB announces MLP upgrade

STERLING, Va., Jan. 13 (UPI) -- U.S. company IceWEB Inc. announced the launch of a new capacity upgrade to better support defense and emergency response data requirements.

IceWEB says its widely deployed Multi-purpose Lightweight Portable platform has received a boost with the company's release of modular data storage expansion packs.

The expansion packs are part of an effort to address crisis management and emergency management response authority's data requirements during an incident. Officials say the IceWEB upgrade enables security authorities to move large amounts of mission critical collections of data while at temporary command and control centers.

"The mobility and now added capacity of the MLP allows this data to be moved very easily to these global locations allowing critical situation sensitive decisions to be made instantly," Stephen Gill, IceWEB vice president of sales, said in a statement.
