BALTIMORE, Nov. 25 (UPI) -- View Systems Inc. has received a follow-on order to deliver its threat detection screening system to contractors in the Middle East and Asia.
U.S. company View Systems says its U.A.E. business partner Belcom has received additional orders from undisclosed government and private sector customers in Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, India and the United Arab Emirates.
The follow-on contracts are for delivery of the company's ViewScan screening technology that officials say is designed to scan more than 1000 people per hour for potential threats.
"There is a phenomenal amount of interest from various sectors for the ViewScan units … not only sensitive government institutions, but also corporate entities, prefer the ViewScan over traditional metal detectors for their security needs," Gautham Belthur, Belcom general manager, said in a statement.
