RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., Nov. 25 (UPI) -- Cyberlux Corp. says its new lighting system developed for the U.S. Defense Department with Sacred Power Corp. has completed an evaluation.

U.S. company Cyberlux says its SP Cyberlight Solar LED (light emitting diode) Lighting System has undergone testing from the Sandia National Laboratories in two modes.

Cyberlux says the SP Cyberlight, developed for the Department of Defense Power Surety Task Force, successfully completed the Sandia National Laboratories testing as part of an initiative to develop new tactical energy solutions for forward base operations.

"The Sandia National Laboratories testing results verify that the SP Cyberlight LED Lighting System is an important portable lighting solution for forward base operations, checkpoint security, perimeter security and general task lighting needs," Mark Schmidt, Cyberlux president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.

"This product also meets the Department of Defense mandate for renewable energy technologies that support the needs of the warfighter.
