SAIC to compete for remediation work

MCLEAN, Va., Nov. 13 (UPI) -- The U.S. Air Force has selected Science Applications International Corp. to compete for task orders supporting restoration and remediation services.

U.S. company SAIC was selected by the Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment as part of a multiple-award indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract.

Under the prime contract worth $3 billion for all awardees, SAIC will compete for task orders providing construction and engineering support as part of ongoing environmental restoration and remediation efforts at Air Force installations.

"SAIC has served Air Force Center for Engineering since 1995, providing environmental architecture and engineering services," Jim Moos, SAIC vice president and operations manager, said in a statement.

"We look forward to continuing this long term working relationship with the Air Force, while helping improve environmental quality at military installations across the globe."
