Alion to provide Army with analysis

MCLEAN, Va., Oct. 27 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army has awarded Alion Science and Technology a task order for warfighter capabilities analysis in support of critical decision making.

U.S. company Alion was awarded the contract to support the Army Capabilities Integration, Prioritization and Analysis Directorate. Under the $1.8 million task order, Alion will provide technical and professional services supporting decisions on the national military strategy.

As part of the contract Alion says it will provide analysis support for the Army's Experimentation Program, Five Year Test Program, Studies Program, and Advance Technology Objective Process among other requirements.

"Alion has a demonstrated history of providing technical and professional services to support the warfighter," Timer Keenan, Alion senior vice president and manager of the strategic operations group, said in a statement.

"Alion's subject matter experts will support the validation, prioritization, analysis and integration of combat requirements and systems life cycles to help to provide the current and future Army with timely and decisive war fighting capabilities as part of the national military strategy."
