The deployment of the Eagle M4500 systems, a technology capable of detecting and identifying arms, drugs, and other illicit goods, is part of an effort to strengthen border security in Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine.

"The superior image resolution, mobility and penetration of the Eagle M4500 series mobile transmission X-ray technology make it an ideal tool in the global fight against narcotics, contraband and weapons smuggling," Terry Whittock, Rapiscan managing director for Europe, Middle East and Africa, said in a statement.

"Rapiscan equipment will support Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova Customs and the EU in their vital work to improve security and safeguard global trade."
