
ATLANTA, May 8 (UPI) -- The U.S. Marine Corps has contracted Video Display Corp. to provide its Visual Systems to support a virtual training program.
U.S. company Video Display said its Florida-based VDC Display Systems division was awarded the contract. As part of the contract, VDC Display Systems will deliver and install six of its Visual Systems technologies, each of which includes three ultrahigh-resolution projectors.
Officials said the Visual Systems, which are designed to improve operational and tactical readiness, will be integrated into the Marine Corps Supporting Arms Virtual Training program.
VDC Display Systems was awarded the deal through Marine Corps prime contractor TJ Inc.
"We are extremely pleased to have been awarded this prestigious contract and look forward to enhancing the already excellent working relationship with TJ Inc. and delivering a world-class Display System," David Rushton, VDC Display Systems vice president of business development, said in a statement.
