HAWTHORNE, Calif., March 4 (UPI) -- OSI Systems Inc. has been contracted to deliver its electronic subassembly technologies for integration with the U.S. Defense Department's armored vehicles.
The California-based specialized electronics developer said its OSI Electronics unit was awarded a contract from U.S. company ITT Corp.

Under the $27 million deal, OSI Electronics will deliver electronic subassemblies for use with the mine-resistant ambush-protected armored vehicle program.
"We are pleased to continue our involvement in this key Department of Defense program," Deepak Chopra, OSI Systems chief executive, said in a statement.
"We expect that subassemblies to be delivered under this contract will be shipped in fiscal 2010."
