Cornet releases new conferencing tech

SAN DIEGO, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- U.S. company Cornet Technology Inc. announced the launch of its new conferencing technology capable of securing multiple classified communication links.

Cornet released its Tactical Voice Conferencing System at the 2008 MILCOM conference taking place through Wednesday at the San Diego Convention Center. Company officials say the new technology offers the military a secured interface for as many as 20 communication lines, either classified or unclassified.

Cornet says its TVCS is different from competing conferencing systems for its "excellent audio" and the ability to "automate communication patching for primary and secondary radios and communications security devices," the release said.

Officials say the TVCS is easy to operate and requires little training.
