SAIC awarded JNMS contract from Army

SAN DIEGO, Nov. 13 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army has awarded a follow-on contract to Science Applications International Corp. for continued network and software support.

U.S. company SAIC received the contract from the Army's Office of the Project Manager-Current Force. Under the $24 million Joint Network Management System contract, SAIC will continue to support the Army's command, control and communications systems with network planning and software support services.

Officials say as part of the new contract, SAIC will provide JNMS, a network management and performance monitoring tool for the Army and Marine Corps, with training, logistics and engineering support services.

"SAIC's continued work on the JNMS program is a prime example of our ability to deliver world-class command, control and communications systems using our certified Capability Maturity Model Integration Level-5 systems and software engineering and integration processes," Peter Dube, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager, said in a statement.

"We look forward to helping enhance JNMS capabilities and support in a range of areas including logistics, training and documentation."
