NEW YORK, Aug. 22 (UPI) -- 4C Controls Inc. has appointed a former commander of the United Arab Emirates military to an executive position.

Threat detection warning technology developer 4C Controls named retired Maj. Gen. Khalid Abdulla Mabarak al-Buainain, the former commander and chief of the UAE air force and air defense, as the company's new Middle East military and defense security vice president.

While serving as head of the UAE air force and air defense, al-Buainain managed several UAE security programs involving satellites and satellite images, aircraft systems and secured network technologies, among other experience assets 4C Controls hopes to utilize as it continues to develop business operations in the Middle East.

"We welcome Maj. Gen. al-Buainain to our 4C Controls senior management team," Jean-Robert Martin, 4C Controls chairman of the board of directors, said in a statement.

"His expertise in Middle East military and defense matters, as well as his highly accomplished management experience with satellites and satellite images programs, will significantly contribute to our company's global capabilities."
