HAWTHORNE, Calif., Aug. 13 (UPI) -- ITT Corp. has contracted OSI Systems Inc. to supply electronic sub-assemblies in support of a U.S. Defense Department deal.

The electronic sub-assemblies will go to support the Department of Defense's mine resistant ambush protected vehicle program. The MRAPs are an effort to provide soldiers additional protection from shrapnel and other ballistics threats associated with improvised explosive devices in the Iraq and Afghanistan combat zones.
