SI International to support Army DAC

RESTON, Va., Aug. 1 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army has contracted information-technology solutions company SI International Inc. to support the Army Defense Ammunition Center.

SI International was awarded an approximately $19 million contract, if all options are exercised, to support the Army DAC, based in McAlester, Okla. Under the deal, SI International will supply training development and electronic system support, among other tasks, in support of a Millennia Lite Functional Area 2 General Services Administration contract vehicle.

SI International officials say the training for the DAC is an Internet-based program offering DAC instructors a long-term instruction plan.

"This win demonstrates our continued commitment to provide a wide range of knowledge management and blended learning solutions to the federal government," Cathie McMahon, SI International senior vice president of learning, said in a statement.

"We are excited to have this opportunity to continue our partnership with DAC to support the ammunition community."
