
RICHMOND, Va., June 30 (UPI) -- British Royal Navy shipbuilder VT Shipbuilding has named Virginia-based Colfax Corp. as its preferred marine pump provider.
VT Shipbuilding awarded Colfax a $1.3 million contract to supply a portfolio of marine pumps, establishing Colfax as the company's preferred marine pump provider. VT Shipbuilding is a leading designer and manufacturer of British Royal Navy elite naval vessels.
"We're very proud and excited to become a long-term supplier to VT Shipbuilding, one of the world's foremost makers of naval vessels," John Young, Colfax president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.
"It's a great compliment to Colfax's high-performance marine pumping technologies and deep application expertise to work with VT Shipbuilding in keeping their naval vessels at their best."
