Border security expo adds two pavilions

AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 9 (UPI) -- With a $4 billion increase in border-security funding, the Global Border Security Conference and Technology Expo in Texas has added two more pavilions.

The Washington-based expo management firm E.J. Krause & Associates announced the addition of the new pavilions in an effort to address the growing demand for border defense and security technology from federal and state governments, and the recent $4 billion increase focused on the U.S. border with Mexico passed by the U.S. Senate. The firm added a pavilion that focuses on unmanned aerial vehicles and a second on biometric technologies.

Krause, in a statement. "We are proud to be hosting the 2nd annual Global Border Security Conference in Austin, Texas, and anticipate that the products and technologies at this event will define the next phase of investment in border surveillance and security.”

Official say the Advanced Biometrics Pavilion will present next-generation technologies for port and border security access control applications and integrated identification systems. Additionally, the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Pavilion will focus on air-to-ground surveillance capabilities and unmanned aircraft.
