Iranian media reports said three inspectors would arrive in Tehran Saturday and two on Monday. Among them would be Olli Heinonen, the IAEA deputy director general.

Iran earlier resumed some of its nuclear programs despite a promise to suspend them while talks continued with European nations over the country's suspect activities.

The United States and other fear Iran is using its claimed civilian programs to hide attempts to build nuclear weapons. Washington, together with European allies, wants the IAEA to refer Iran to the U.N. Security Council for possible economic sanctioning.

Iran insists its nuclear programs and facilities, some developed surreptitiously, are for peaceful purposes only and that Iran has the right to pursue them. Russia, which is helping Iran with nuclear facilities, and China are opposing the dismantlement and/or referral pressure of the United States, France, Britain and Germany.

The Fars news agency said Heinonen would hold talks with Iranian officials and then compile a report for the agency.
