On average, 10 suicides take place every month in France, along with 120 shootings and 200 suspect deaths.

In addition, there are thousands of threats and fights among family members and neighbors, the newspaper reported, citing police statistics.

The records also include a rise in road rage, documented by fights among drivers and auto thefts.

Until recently, such statistics have been primarily at the local level. But with the rise of computerized information, they are now available for the entire country.
