MOSCOW, Jan. 16 (UPI) -- A first-ever court hearing began Thursday in Moscow, pitting survivors and victims' families in the Chechen theater incident against Moscow's government. Almost 130 hostages died during the Russian special forces operation to retake the theater from Chechen rebels, and dozens filed lawsuits for nearly $60 million in compensation.
