Qaida 'chatter' spikes, raises questions

WASHINGTON, Nov. 14 (UPI) -- Even as Justice Department officials confirmed Thursday that electronic intercepts of communications by suspected al Qaida operatives have recently hit their highest level ever, some experts are questioning the significance of this information. "We have never seen this high level of the so-called 'chatter' by al Qaida guys," said one senior law enforcement source. "There's more of this stuff than we've ever seen before."
