RIO BRANCO, Brazil, Aug. 31 (UPI) -- Officials Saturday kicked off an investigation into a late-night crash of a small commercial plane in the western Brazilian state of Acre that killed 24 people, including an elected official. At least eight people survived the crash, with several being hospitalized and treated for various injuries.
