Protests ease in China's 'rust-belt'

HONG KONG, March 23 (UPI) -- Workers in the northern industrial city of Liaoyang kept their promises to remain peaceful on Saturday and stay off the streets after local government officials said they would release four labor leaders detained earlier in the week. As protests eased in Liaoyang, demonstrations in the oil-rich town of Daqing moved into their third week.
