Israel angers Geneva pact signatories

GENEVA, Switzerland, Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Senior officials from 114 countries -- signatories of the 1949 Geneva Conventions that seek to protect civilians during war and occupation -- met Wednesday and overwhelmingly adopted a declaration urging Israel to end serious violations of the accord in the occupied Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem. Only the United States, Israel and Australia boycotted the meeting.
