The contracts go to South Korea's Samsung, Italian gas processing company Saipem and to a partnership between Spain's Technical Reunidas and India's Punj Lloyd, the Emirati newspaper The National reports Friday.

U.S. supermajor ConocoPhillips announced this week that it ended its partnership to develop the Shah gas field.

ConocoPhillips said it looked forward to future collaboration with the Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. but ultimately pulled out of the deal for the gas field. Few details were disclosed about the ConocoPhillips deal.

The Shah gas field is expected to pump 1 billion cubic feet per day. Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. said the project is scheduled for a 2014 completion date.
