DETROIT, Sept. 9 (UPI) -- General Motors announced a recall of more than 3 million vehicles on Friday due to an airbag software defect that's been linked to at least one death and three injuries, the automaker said.
The recall affects 3.6 million vehicles with model years between 2014 and 2017. GM said the sensing and diagnostic module in the vehicles, which controls airbag deployment, contains a defect that may prevent the inflation of front airbags in certain crash conditions.
