Entenmann's Little Bites muffins recalled over plastic bits

HORSHAM, Pa., Sept. 1 (UPI) -- Bimbo Bakeries has issued a voluntary recall on Entenmann's muffins and brownies due to the presence of small plastic pieces in the products.

The recall includes Entenmann's Little Bites Fudge Brownies and Little Bites Muffins manufactured at a contract bakery in Illinois.

Bimbo Bakeries initiated the recall after customers reported plastic in the product. The company notes one injury was reported and that no other Entenmann's products were affected.

Bimbo said the plastic pieces found their way into the muffins due to a manufacturing error.
