MINNEAPOLIS, Dec. 8 (UPI) -- General Mills is restocking the shelves with French Toast Crunch after an 8-year absence in response to popular demand.

The revival of the cereal that was on the shelves from 1995-2006 will likely delight people in their 20s who ate it as a child. The Canadian version of the cereal, which was discontinued, sells online in the United States for as much as $40. It's sister cereal, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, has remained on shelves but there was even a change.org petition to bring back the cereal.

It's a trend in '90s nostalgia. Coca-Cola recently relaunched Surge as well. Unfortunately, French Toast Crunch probably won't have a Hot Wheels car at the bottom of the box this time around.
