BURLINGTON, Vt., Feb. 26 (UPI) -- Ben & Jerry's has launched a new line of 'Core' flavors that feature a column of raspberry, fudge or caramel enveloped by two flavors of ice cream.

The new flavors are inspired by Ben and Jerry's popular 'Karamel Sutra' flavor. The concept involves a core center down the middle of of the container, with two complimenting flavors. The four new flavors are Hazed & Confused, That’s My Jam, Peanut Butter Fudge and Salted Caramel.

“We are always looking to make something bigger and better for our fans,” said lead flavor developer Eric Fredette. “We wanted to blow out the concept of fun flavors, chunks and swirls and take it over the top.”

Hazed and Confused is chocolate and hazelnut ice cream with a thick gooey Nutella core. For peanut butter fans, Peanut Butter Fudge combines chocolate and peanut butter ice cream with mini peanut butter cups and a peanut butter fudge core, which promises to be the consistency of peanut butter.

Thats My Jam has a raspberry core cocooned between chocolate and raspberry ice-cream. Salted Caramel has just one flavor of ice cream -- sweet cream with brownies -- surrounding a salted caramel core.

The pints are priced at $4.39 each and will be hitting U.S. stores this month.
