NEW YORK, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- Crude oil traded close to $103 per barrel Tuesday, gaining 2.6 percent in New York with demand high and the U.S. dollar low.
Winter weather is putting upward pressure on pricing. In addition, the dollar index, a pro-rated measure of the dollar against six major currencies, was near a six-week low, dropping 0.19 percent to 80.01.
