Crude oil dips slightly but closes above $100 per barrel

NEW YORK, Feb. 14 (UPI) -- The price for a barrel of crude oil closed at $100.30 Friday on the New York Mercantile Exchange, down a nickel from the previous day's close.

Support came from an extended blast of winter weather in the Northeast and a drop in crude oil inventories for the week.
