WASHINGTON, Dec. 18 (UPI) -- Libbey Glass of Toledo, Ohio, is recalling 218,000 cocktail glasses that can break unexpectedly, U.S. regulators said Wednesday.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission said the company's Bristol Valley cocktail glasses, with sheer rims, model 8555SR, were under recall.

The glasses are clear, six and a quarter inches high, with a base three and a quarter inches wide and a top rim that is four and a quarter inches wide.
They were sold individually and in cases of 24.
The company has received numerous reports of the glasses breaking without warning.
Consumers were advised to stop using the glasses and return them to the place of purchase for a refund.
