Tesco recalls Chocolate and Nut Ice Cream Cones

LONDON, Nov. 16 (UPI) -- The British supermarket chain Tesco has recalled specialty ice cream cones after pain relief pills were found mixed in with the chocolate and nuts.

The recall involves a house brand of cones, Sky News reported. The chain said police were informed of the find because of the possibility of product tampering.

"As a precautionary measure, we have issued a product recall on a Tesco Chocolate and Nut Ice Cream Cone product after two individual cones were found to contain a tablet for pain relief," a spokesperson for Tesco said. "We are urgently investigating this incident with our supplier and ask customers to return this product to their local store."

The Food Standards Agency said in a notice on its website that no other Tesco products appear to be affected.
