NEW YORK, Oct. 2 (UPI) -- U.S. retail receipts rebounded after two sluggish weeks in the week ending Saturday, the International Council of Shopping Centers said.
After two weeks of declines, sales climbed slightly week-to-week, rising 0.2 percent, the ICSC said Tuesday. From the same week of 2012, sales climbed 2.1 percent, the trade group said.

"For the week, sales generally were helped by weather to close out the fiscal month," said Michael Niemira, ICSC vice president of research and chief economist.
Niemira said business improved at clothing stores, as well as department and electronics stores. For the week, the weaker categories included grocery, drug, wholesale club, office and furniture stores, he said.
