CBS returns to Time Warner Cable in New York, Los Angeles, Dallas

NEW YORK, Sept. 2 (UPI) -- CBS President Leslie Moonves said Monday CBS would be back on Time Warner Cable by 6 p.m. EDT in New York, Los Angeles and Dallas.

Showtime also would be available across the country, Moonves said.

"We're pleased to be able to restore CBS programming for our customers, and appreciate their patience and loyalty throughout the dispute," Time Warner Cable Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Glenn Britt said in a statement, NBC News reported.

Time Warner and CBS had been negotiating a new contract and CBS, Time Warner said, was demanding exorbitant fees for its content. The cable company, in response, had blacked out CBS programming in various locations, including New York and Los Angeles.

CBS, in turn, had been blocking Internet access from Time Warner Internet subscribers.
