NEW YORK, July 25 (UPI) -- Crude oil prices gained 13 cents to $105.52 per barrel Thursday, as traders focused on corporate reports.

Weaker-than-expected second quarter results from Caterpillar Inc. offset a bullish Energy Information Administration report that said crude oil supplies dropped by 2.8 million barrels in the week that ended Friday.

Supplies reached 364.2 million barrels, remaining in the upper half of the average range for this time of year.

On the New York Mercantile Exchange, reformulated blendstock gasoline lost 2.76 cents to $2.9943 per gallon. Home heating oil was at $3.0425 per gallon, off 0.83 cents.

Natural gas dropped 4.7 cents to $3.651 per million British thermal units.

At the pump, the national average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline was $3.655 Thursday, down a half-cent from Wednesday's $3.66, the AAA Fuel Gauge report said.
