Crude oil price climbs

NEW YORK, March 18 (UPI) -- The price of crude oil rose toward $94 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange Monday, while natural gas prices also closed higher.

Traders were still reacting to supply reports from last week and an extended winter chill in much of the country.

West Texas Intermediate crude oil for April delivery added 41 cents to reach $93.86 Monday. Gasoline shed 3.9 cents to $3.121 per gallon. Home heating oil lost 2.2 cents to settle at $2.918 a gallon.

Natural gas picked up 0.7 cents to hit $3.879 per million British thermal units.

At the pump, a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was $3.685 Monday, down from Sunday's $3.686, the AAA Fuel Gauge Report said.
