Mutsy USA recalls EVO strollers

WASHINGTON, Feb. 7 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of EVO Strollers made by Mutsy USA due to an entrapment hazard.

The commission said the opening between the grab bar and the seat bottom on the strollers is wide enough for an infant's body to pass through, at which point an infant can get trapped at the neck, potentially leading to strangulation.

About 340 strollers are involved in the recall. They were made in China for Mutsy BV of Goirle, Netherlands, and sold nationwide by Mutsy USA of Newark, N.J., from last April through December for about $400.

Consumers were advised to stop using the strollers and contact Mutsy USA for a free replacement seat unit and grab bar.

Consumers can call 877-546-9230 for information.
