CHICAGO, Nov. 5 (UPI) -- Grain futures closed mostly lower on the Chicago Board of Trade Monday as the dollar was little changed and equities made modest gains on Wall Street.
Corn was off 4, soybeans were off 14 3/4 to off 23 1/2, wheat was off 1 to up 1 1/2 and oats were off 8 1/2 to off 9 1/2.
Corn prices found support from the wheat market, but closed lower with the dollar index up 0.19 percent on the International Exchange.
Wheat trading rose as global supplies are considered tight, intensifying the focus on the freshly planted winter wheat crop.
Soybean futures fell on reports of weather improvements in South America.
