WASHINGTON, Aug. 13 (UPI) -- U.S. regulators said General Motors in August will recall 36,413 model year 2008-2012 Chevrolet Impala police cars to replace both front lower control arms.
Front lower control arms may fracture, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said. This could result in loss of control, the regulator said.

The recall is set to start Aug. 21. Impala owners can call 888-327-4236 for information.
GM said control arm replacement on the recalled models would be done free of charge.
