Crude oil tops $106

NEW YORK, March 7 (UPI) -- Crude oil held rose to just over $106 per barrel Wednesday in New York, as stock markets regained some ground lost the day before.

April delivery light sweet crude on the New York Mercantile Exchange added $1.45 to reach $106.15 per barrel. Home heating oil shed 0.64 cents to $3.213 per gallon. Reformulated gasoline gained 0.06 cents to $3.288 per gallon.

Henry Hub natural gas prices gained 0.3 cents in late trading to $2.305 per million British thermal units.

The national average price of unleaded gasoline fell slightly for the second consecutive day, dropping from Tuesday's $3.764 per gallon to $3.761 per gallon, AAA said.
