Crude oil slips under $94

NEW YORK, Dec. 16 (UPI) -- Crude oil prices dropped under $93 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange Friday before staging a modest comeback.

Light, sweet crude for January delivery reached $92.52 per barrel at its low for the session before climbing back to $93.78. Heating oil prices in New York moved in sympathy with oil, adding 0.7 cents to $2.8075 per gallon. Reformulated blendstock gasoline prices gained 0.55 cents to $2.4925 per gallon.

Henry Hub natural gas prices lost 0.1 cents to $3.126 per million British thermal units.

At the pump, the national average price of unleaded gasoline fell to $3.25 per gallon Friday from Thursday's $3.259, AAA said.
