OTTAWA, Dec. 6 (UPI) -- The value of Canadian building permits issued in October ended a three-month slide and rose 11.9 percent to $6.3 billion, Statistics Canada reported Tuesday.
"The value of non-residential permits rose 32.8 percent to $2.7 billion in October, following three consecutive monthly declines. Institutional buildings in Ontario and industrial buildings in Quebec, Alberta and Manitoba were behind the majority of the increase in the non-residential sector," StatsCan said.
